PARENT AGREEMENT AND CENTER RULES
Welcome to STEAMlab!
We are excited that you’ve chosen us to be part of your child’s journey in learning, discovery, and creativity.
To make sure that every child gets the best experience possible and to give parents peace of mind, we’ve set down a few rules and reminders to ensure that our space remains safe, respectful, and fun.
- SAFETY COMES FIRST: STEAMlab is a hands-on learning space where safety is a top priority. Please remind your children to follow safety rules and instructions. Please inform us of any medical conditions or special needs that may affect participation.
- RESPECT FOR THE SPACE AND MATERIALS: Students are asked to handle all tech gear and materials with care. Any intentional damage may require repair or replacement at the student’s account.
- KINDNESS AND RESPECT FOR OTHERS: Everyone is encouraged to speak and act kindly so all feel welcome. If challenges arise, STEAMlab will guide the student and coordinate with parents when needed.
- ATTENDANCE, PICK-UP, AND CLASS CANCELLATIONS: Our STEAMlab instructors are ready to welcome students 10 minutes before their scheduled class. Our instructors will need time to prepare for their next class, so we ask that students be picked up soon after class to allow setup for the next session. If a student will miss a class, please inform STEAMlab as soon as possible. Classes may be rescheduled or postponed at least 12 hours before the scheduled session. Any reschedule or cancellation made less than 12 hours before the class, or a no-show, may result in the session being forfeited or charged a no-show fee, as applicable. If someone other than the parent or guardian will pick up the student, please let us know in advance.
- COMMUNICATION AND PARTNERSHIP: STEAMlab values open and friendly communication. Parents may reach out to us with questions or concerns. Updates and reminders will be sent through your preferred communication channel.
- PHOTO AND VIDEO CONSENT: At STEAMlab, we love celebrating our students’ progress and sharing the innovative projects they create. By enrolling, you agree that STEAMlab may take photos and videos of classroom activities for use in our social media, website, and educational presentations. We prioritize student privacy and safety by avoiding the use of last names in public posts. If you prefer that your child not be featured in our media, kindly let us know so we can honor your preference while ensuring they fully participate in all the fun.
